It works surprisingly well but if you get something very oily or wet on the lens it is recommended to wipe it dry first to prolong its life of the pen to extend. There is graphite in the lid, and just closing the lid and shaking it a little does you good. After cleaning, expect some graphite dust, which you can gently blow off or just leave on. The clarity I get after brushing is unreal and I love it. If you use prescription VR lenses like I do, you should clean the headset's base lenses regularly, as sometimes dust can get between the lenses.
