I bought the W20s for my wife. I also have two top-of-the-line Westone headphones, namely the UM Pro 50 and the W80. The W20 is a great pair, especially considering the price. They're just as comfortable as other Westone headphones: once you find the right tip for your ears, you can listen to music for hours without even realizing you're wearing something. The W20s can convince acoustically. This isn't the UM Pro 50 or W80, of course, but they come pretty close for normal listening to music during the day, at work, or in the gym. I have to pay attention to details to notice the difference with older siblings, but you can't usually do that when you're busy with other things. The overall impression is cleanliness, airiness, good instrument separation, a pleasant impression that makes you smile! I've read complaints of weak bass response, but I can't agree that with the right ear cups and maybe a little EQ help, the bass is there, crisp and impressive (thinner than the UM Pro 50 but there to be enjoyed). ). Overall I'm very happy with the W20 as it's close to other models costing 4-6 times more, at least to my ears. If anything ever happened to my other Westones I would be very reluctant to spend $1,000 on a replacement knowing I could get pretty close to that experience for a fraction of the price.
