I'm very strong and coordinated, but I've found it extremely painful - if not impossible - to "lock" and/or "unlock" when you don't have one Holding a vise in both hands "a container portion of the implement from the base of the blender to allow the contents of the container to be poured or consumed. When you apply whatever force you feel is necessary to loosen any portion of the blender, will it simply tip over with the lid often still attached, or if it is not attached the contents will spill all over the surface the unit is placed on." FYI if you have loss of strength or arthritis in your wrists or any part of your upper body, the whole process is excruciatingly painful. I wish I had just sent it back in time for a refund instead of chanting "Hope Springs Eternal" for the screw handle to loosen over time; What a waste of frustration, time, effort and money!
