Review on Lamantt Neck Fan: Hands-Free Portable Fan with Power Bank Feature - USB Rechargeable Mini Fan for Travel, Office, and Outdoor Activities by Tai Wiest

Received 1 button version without backlight but wife likes it

I'm honestly confused by the photo and the product description. Some of the photos clearly show the two buttons and the fact that the charging port is at the bottom. Other photos only show a button and charging port on the back. I'm assuming the two button version is for light control. (One button for lighting and the other for power/speed?). I don't know because I only have the one button version. And it contains no light. I don't know if the seller accidentally sent old versions or the new "2020" has no backlight? Anyway, it's an omission to list a feature that doesn't exist and I really hope they fix it soon. There are inaccuracies at the time of this review (June 30, 2020). Light is not important to me personally. I bought this fan for my wife who struggles with hot flashes and doesn't care about lights. So no problem for us. To be honest, the design of this fan looks cheap. Right out of the box, one side of the red silicone tubing is already ripped off, revealing the metal underneath (thankfully that part doesn't touch your skin). And while the neck strap isn't entirely uncomfortable, it's made out of hard plastic, not rubber. It's not as soft as one would expect or desire. My wife doesn't seem to mind at all. With all this, the fan works quite well. Contrary to what one reviewer mentioned, I noticed a big difference in 3 speeds. (Maybe they have a two-button variant?) A single press of the button engages the first and lowest speed, which provides a bit of air movement. Not enough to cool a person but can provide a gentle breeze without making a person feel cold. Pressing the button twice turns on medium speed and three times turns on high speed. The high speed was really impressive. While the noise may be a bit loud for some -- it sounds like a swarm of mosquitoes or a drone -- it provides enough air movement. Cool down the hot glowing wife. I weighed the fan 168.6 grams (0.37 pounds). I wouldn't call it super light, but not heavy either. In the 1 button version I got you can remove the screw and access the battery. While this isn't a standard battery, it's still interchangeable. However, I suspect the fan still won't last long enough to require a new battery. In general, I believe that the price reflects the quality of the product. This is a budget solution that works well enough for our purposes.
