Nice stand for devices. Legs and mesh are of decent quality. However, there is nothing that sets it apart from a regular laptop cooler/stand other than the fact that it stands upright while regular laptop coolers tilt forward. For the price, we expected a speed controller and a quieter fan. It's not very loud, but there is a slight fan noise. We use many CM fans in our builds throughout the building and all of our builds are silent. So the flash of light was cut off a bit by us. As for the lack of speed control, this is similar to most laptop stands in that they plug in and just start spinning. There's no variable control if you want to push the fan a little harder. It's not that big either. So it is most suitable for small and medium-sized network devices. However, if you have one of the larger, more intense routers where heat can be an issue, they will dwarf this stand. An example would be the larger Netgear or ASUS gaming routers (like the Nighthawk X10). The stand is just too small. So we've come to the conclusion why we keep comparing it to a laptop stand. The price of this device is just too high as there is no speed control (temperature control would be desirable), it doesn't push much air through and it's too small for larger (more intense) routers. That being said, we recommend buying a regular $20 laptop cooler stand for the networking gear that gets the hottest. It'll be more affordable, it'll support larger routers/devices (because they're big enough to hold laptops), and sometimes it'll have speed dialing or even built-in LEDs for added visual impact. As said, CM fans almost exclusively use their fans in all systems here. Therefore we expected more from the company and for the price. A little disappointed.** If you found our review helpful, please vote below to let us know. This helps us to provide quality feedback in the future.
