I try to sleep on my back, but I often end up on my side and stomach (that's why I'm a "motor"). the other, mainly because they're too stiff when fully inflated (so if that's exactly the height you want, that's probably fine) and too flexible when not fully inflated. The plastic bubble makes noise like a sleeping mat, but if you're wearing earplugs or not moving, that's probably fine. Those that advertise a soft finish usually have a VERY thin layer of gel or foam; not enough to do anything. I still have to try Nemo Fillo - that could be enough. Take some pillows and return them if you don't like them. I recommend trying at least a shredded memory foam pillow (Thermarest or Fake). I have the Kohbi Sport compressible pillow for camping and traveling and it's the most comfortable pillow I've found. I pack light items so carrying an 11 ounce pillow is a hassle but for me it's worth it. I also tried the smaller 8-9 oz Thermarest and it wasn't enough. I also recommend getting a Klymit X pillow, or Pillow-X, whatever they call it. This is very good for a light cradle for your head. I'm thinking of cutting up the Thermarest and installing an inflatable bladder or just sewing a small pillowcase that I can stuff tightly with memory foam. If you decide to go down the memory foam path, please note that initial full expansion will take days. And if you roll it up to pack, it may not fully unfold when you want to sleep. I recommend trying to keep it unfolded in your backpack (this may not be doable for 1-2 days, but once you've eaten some of your food you should have room. Or just tie it over your backpack and use it). in breaks.
