At one end there were problems with reliable communication with the modem.

I may have chosen the wrong cable. There may be a problem with the modem, but there was no such problem with the previous cable. (I only switched because I needed a longer cable.) If the manufacturer has any suggestions on the best way to fix this, I'm open to suggestions.

Pros

The CAT 6 standard supports up to 550 MHz and 10 Gigabit Ethernet. Provides the fastest and most reliable internet connection between two network devices.
