Pay attention to how your new collar was put together. This can't be right.
I bought one of these for my dog and loved it. I recently adopted a second dog, so I ordered another one. The chain on the 2nd of these was stuck/didn't work smoothly. What matters is this one-piece, Martindale-style collar. The sound the chain makes means your dogs are signaling that they are lost. So if it doesn't work properly, it's useless and can even get stuck. Nobody wants a collar to get stuck or choke a dog. So check your collar to make sure the chain is properly seated under the D-rings. Green is perfect (bottom-bottom) and red is not (bottom-top).
