Review on Aquarium Acurel Water Clarifier: Enhancing Water Clarity for Optimal Performance by Nicole Bao

I was not lucky that others

I really wanted to like this thing. I have six aquariums so this is going to be a great product based on the reviews. I've only had slight cloudiness on three and usually use the API brightener because it always works best. I've tried Tetra and it not only clouds the water worse. My tanks are round and clean, just a little overcast, I nodded off as instructed and my fish were happily chasing the brown stripes. rzunimag. but that did nothing but do more cleanup for me. As prescribed, I waited almost half a day and dosed half again, until then I had a brown coating on the gravel and the filter material was brown. It's mostly a brown flocculant, so you'll see it in contrast to some clarifiers. It kind of sits down in an opaque haze, and you suck it up or it goes through the filter. That's not it. I had to replace all the filter media because it was clogged with brown. I had to use a gravel cleaner to get it out of my tanks. I'm not sure why it works really well for some and not for others, but I'll never put it in my tanks again. I even made an experiment and added the required number of drops to a fairly transparent and the same thing, but turned into a brown mush. I use back filters and sponge filters in all aquariums so there are no problems with filtering. I would not recommend this product, I am returning it for a refund and using my regular API cleaner.
