Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Ryka Women's Devotion XT Athletic Sneaker by Julie Spalding

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not the same shoes.

Review Update: This shoe has changed a lot and not for the better. I took off my old shoes and put on a new pair, and my excitement subsided. The soft insole is now rock hard. No bounce, no soft support. Now they narrow. My wide shoes fit my foot well. The roomy sock is gone. Less why I bought overpriced shoes. The appearance has changed. More aggressive outsole, higher arch. I've uploaded a photo of the old and new side by side to show the change in width, higher arch, and style change. Old Review: What I like: Soft sole Wide toe Heel fits snugly, not tight, no slipping What I don't like For example, it was $40 in mid-June, now it's $80 in late August. Tariffs or Revain? IDK, but these aren't $80 sneakers. The sole is comfortable but too soft. I wear them like slippers. I work from home, so I spend several hours every day in these sneakers. I change them about every 6 weeks (why aren't those $80 sneakers). Although I don't wear these shoes outdoors or to exercise, I am a dog trainer (lots of walks and games) and exercise 6 days a week. I drive more than 10 km a day. I need shoes at home that absorb some of that impact. Because of the daily kilometers and hours I spend in these shoes, I am very familiar with these shoes. They're great for activities that aren't difficult or impactful. I wouldn't wear them for skating, shuffles, burpees or running. I don't practice Zumba, but it doesn't affect me very much, so I give in to Zumba enthusiasts and instructors on the subject. Overall, I don't see this as a sports shoe. This is an all round comfortable shoe.
