I had to photograph a property for a client and the 25mm lens was my widest lens. 12mm at 0 (zero) distortion! It sounded like the right tool for the job. But. My initial skepticism about this product was an age old struggle. How can a product be good when it costs so little? My wallet (and my wife) convinced me to try the lens. I've had the lens long enough now to test it in some circumstances and overall I'm very satisfied! The metal construction offers good quality and a rigid feel that I haven't experienced with other lenses in this price range. This gives you some confidence that you can take the lens out of the case and use it.2. The overall picture is as nearly distortion free as one would expect from a 12mm3. The resulting images are amazingly clear in both still and movie modes. (Image sharpens around f4) There are only a few minor imperfections, but they are not critical.1. It's not the best lens for low light, but if you risk it with a higher ISO and don't mind post-processing, you can get great results. The field of view (FOV) changes slightly when focusing. This eliminates the need to focus on the stand in most movie scenarios. (although it can be used for a decent effect. 3. No autofocus (only a blogging problem in my opinion). I highly recommend this lens. Especially if you're shooting real estate, landscapes or special effects. It can also be suitable great for vlogs with such a wide field of view, just set the focus first.
