Style is great - not lasting quality

I have had this necklace for a little over a month now. The look and style is exactly what I was looking for - but now 4-5 weeks of wear it has tarnished terribly. I ordered 2 others from different places at the same time and this is the only one to do that - it’s went from gold to green. Disappointed, I’m not sure it was truly 18k gold plated.

It’s exactly what I wanted! A light, thin, adjustable snake chain. Hopefully it holds up well. I wouldn’t wear it In the shower or swimming but it’s perfect for what I wanted!
