My husband and I bought this for our kids to learn to snorkel. This is a great idea and I wish it would work, but it doesn't. The kids immediately complained about getting water or sunscreen in their eyes (actually just drops of water). We practiced in shallow water so they could stand up and empty the mask if water got in. Convinced they would be amazing if used correctly, my husband decided to do some research on how to use them properly. He followed the instructions verbatim. I no longer put them on my children, nor wore them. If you look at the risks (water inrush = drowning, CO2 buildup = suffocation, ball stuck = suffocation. All of these pretty much lead to death, especially if you pass out in the water! And there are reports of it) that it does it's not worth it. My husband comes the next day and tries his. After 10 minutes the ball gets stuck and he can't breathe anymore. He was a professional swimmer and lifeguard so he's the best equipped of all of us to deal with that, but it still scared the shit out of him. Anyone panicking or swimming poorly could have died. THIS IS A DANGEROUS PRODUCT AND MAY NOT BE SOLD ON AMAZON OR OTHERWISE. Buy some good old-fashioned snorkel gear and realize that it also comes with risks, but a lot less than that dangerous junk.
