I didn't want to buy this because I thought it would be too much of a hindrance to see other cars on the road, but it isn't. However, the "legs" that attach it to the rearview mirror aren't reliable enough on their own. When installing or removing your phone, be sure to use both hands and try not to move the device too much or it will fall off the rearview mirror. I like that the angle of the phone portion of this device is adjustable because if I decide not to mount the phone I can actually get it completely out of the way by tilting it all the way back.
