I put this collar on my 14 month old cat. He died about 10 days later. He had no other obvious problems. He was an outdoor cat who spent most of his short life on our patio. It was bought to keep squirrels and other critters out of our garden where it has been quite successful. Fleas showed up on our clothes when we were on deck last summer so I was looking for the best flea collar I could find for my yard. the little gardener is here - and Soresto seemed to be the best. In his last 24 hours he just wanted to be in the garage and he didn't eat much of his food. He meowed a little more than usual and looked exhausted. That wasn't unusual on a hot summer's day. The next morning I went to the garage on business and he stood on the mat by the door and didn't move with his mouth open. He is gone. I can't prove Ceresto killed my cat. But he was happy, healthy, and strong until his death, and the only variable is that collar. After reading other owners' concerns about toxicity, I am convinced that the collar poisoned my cat to death.
