Product works as intended. I have two problems: You have to be really, really close to the light to activate it. I'm not sure where they got the 25ft figure from. More like 3-5 feet. The second is line of sight. If you approach at an angle, especially a 90 degree angle (usually when you're in the hallway you're walking down), you won't be seen until you're really close. It's a little better if you approach it from straight ahead. I ordered 4 pieces and they all behave the same. So I don't think I have a defective part, it's just the way they are made. So these things are important to you, you can look elsewhere. Also, the light isn't too bright. We would have liked it to be a bit brighter. So I appreciate different shots for different people.
