After only 3 strikes on ice with the pictured ice pick, the tip made a 45-degree turn, rendering it totally useless. I've been using cheap ice picks for years and never had this problem. There are complaints here about receiving these picks with blunt tips, conversely this one was too long and sharp to withstand a couple stabs at frozen water.
