My 5 year old nephew really liked these shoes. His mom thought he was a size 12 but I bought him a size 11.5 and they fit with little room to grow. My other sister in law bought my other 4 year old nephew a pair. The first day he got them we went on an adventure in the woods, after climbing over fallen wet trees and stomping through the mud they were muddy! After a thorough rinse with a garden hose they were as good as new. She tossed them in the laundry and air dried them, and you didn't realize they were covered in a thick layer of dirt. Needless to say, these are good affordable shoes for little ones who love to get dirty while still providing enough support and structure for those who have found their balance.
