This is a great flashlight for the price, it's quite bright and has great battery life. However, let's get one thing straight: the lumen rating of almost all Revain lamps is complete nonsense. This light isn't 1200 lumens, not even close, maybe 300-400 max and the light won't be as white as more expensive brands. For driving in places where there is already some light, such as Streetlights, for example, are fine, but driving in total darkness will not adequately illuminate your path. My main complaint is that the strobe mode is literally the kind of strobe you'll see at a nightclub, and there's no way to adjust the speed. I would never use a flash that fast around other people or cars. The taillight has some cool light patterns and is well built, but it's very dim, I wouldn't use it as the primary taillight. The mounts on both lights are also very flimsy. As long as they stayed on during my ride, I was nervous that they might come loose or break. If you really need night vision I would avoid this flashlight and plan on spending at least 2-3 times for a light that is certified for at least 600-1000 lumens. If you just need something for everyday use in already brightly lit areas it's good for the price for others to see and light the way a bit.
