With 2 pairs of Keen Targhee IIIs bought at a reduced price I was looking for another good deal. I wanted another pair of IIIs but looking at them they ended up being a little more expensive than I was willing to pay. When I was looking for other interesting shoes and boots they came up and were priced right. Although it's not a III I thought the Targhee would be a pretty similar shoe, how wrong I was! The shoes arrived looking similar but they were definitely more streamlined. I tried them on and they seemed to fit. I put them on the next day and by the end of the walk both pinky fingers had blisters. Boots are a whole different style. I'm used to my roomy IIIs and they don't look alike at all, they taper right where my little fingers sit and the pressure was unbearable after the first walk. The only positive thing I can say about them is that the elastic tie and button at the bottom is a good option. The price difference between them and the Targhee III was Β£35 but as they can't be worn now I've just wasted my money not being able to stretch them to fit. The lessons benefit from what you know, even if they are expensive. Back to Targhee III for me!
