Perfect for the forest kindergarten

What annoys me about these shoes is that they are not waterproof even when running through wet grass. My son's feet are constantly wet, whether it's from being wet on the outside or from a lack of breathability on the inside. Unfortunately, greasing and spray impregnation from the beginning didn't help. Unfortunately, my son finds the shoes very comfortable, which is why I wasn't allowed to send them back :-) There are still 2 stars for that.

Pros
  • I bought these for my grandson. He says they are comfortable and easy to put on and take off.
Cons
  • Don't waste your money.

I love love love!: my rating

I used to buy my 8 year old son a new pair of shoes every few months because he liked them so much. I will never buy him anything again. This is his second pair of Keen shoes and we've been using them for almost a year! They usually grow out of them before they break to the point where they need to be replaced. He ended up breaking the area where his leg flexes with the last pair, but we still got our money's worth at that point. Again, he's very picky about shoes, so $50-60 every 10 months is…

Pros
  • Love this product and did 30 hikes in 2022. I will buy again.
Cons
  • The Velcro broke off the shoe after wearing it for a while. Wouldn't recommend it.

No velcro last review

First, these boots are very sturdy and need to be broken in. I also find that they are quite roomy, maybe 1/2 size larger than advertised. If you tie the laces too lightly, they'll pinch the tips of your toes at the bend, so they should be loose, which makes for a roomy fit. Worst of all are the soles, they are an absolute death trap on snow, ice and mossy wet surfaces like logs. They have absolutely no grip! My very cheap Decathlon hiking shoes outperform them! The stiffness of the boot, even…

Pros
  • The combination of Dark Earth and Gold Brown looks great on kids and is easy on the eye.
Cons
  • Not suitable for children who quickly outgrow shoes.

Very comfortable and look good

The shoes are perfect for the forest kindergarten. My daughter is delighted and so am I. They are of course very hard, but that is normal with hiking boots.

Pros
  • I love the shoes for my kids
Cons
  • Expensive for children's shoes.

Good boots are good for me

They appear to be of good quality that can last well over a year or at least until he outgrows them. I hope this is a great shoe for all year except most of the summer and it can take a beating.

Pros
  • The boots have enough room for thick socks for optimal comfort in cold weather.
Cons
  • May not provide adequate ankle support for some children

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice, but unfortunately too big.

Good walking shoes but they seem a bit stiff in construction. Good for ankle stability but not so good for free foot movement. Broad in the fingers, which is good. Maybe a bit overwhelmed.

Pros
  • I get what I pay for...
Cons
  • Not very versatile for everyday use.

The shoes did not come as in the photo

For some reason the shoes came back to me after I returned them. The main reason I returned them is because they are not the shoes you see in the photo, with a collar and laces for a secure fit, and they seem to be too big for my son!

Pros
  • Constructed from durable materials that stand up to harsh outdoor conditions.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all types of terrain

Great purchase, my review

Bought for my four year old daughter. Fits great and worth buying. Absolutely waterproof. Definitely more comfortable than walking in sneakers. She can/will go the extra mile either way in them.

Pros
  • Great shoes
Cons
  • May not provide enough support for children with foot problems

I love pointy boots, I think

I've been buying for many years, this is my daughter's first set, they are a bit big but not so big that she can't use them. I ordered brown, they sent grey, my daughter says she likes gray better than brown so it worked. fine

Pros
  • We love Keen boots, great quality, waterproof and great fit.
Cons
  • Due to the limited breathability, the feet can sweat and smell

Amazing my pros and cons

Everyone in our family has wide feet, that's why we always buy Keen shoes. In the photos you can see my old pair of sons on the left and my new pair on the right. So frustrating, very tight and so small I struggled to get a size 4 onto my size 4 foot. The outsole is not as durable as it used to be and overall the quality looked/felt very poor. SO disappointed that Keen decided to compromise on quality like so many other manufacturers have done. :-(

Pros
  • Turns out big. sorry Otherwise they make a very good impression!
Cons
  • The water resistance may not last long, so your feet will get wet while hiking.

Tres bon produit pour un enfant qui aime jouer dehors

With 2 pairs of Keen Targhee IIIs bought at a reduced price I was looking for another good deal. I wanted another pair of IIIs but looking at them they ended up being a little more expensive than I was willing to pay. When I was looking for other interesting shoes and boots they came up and were priced right. Although it's not a III I thought the Targhee would be a pretty similar shoe, how wrong I was! The shoes arrived looking similar but they were definitely more streamlined. I tried them on…

Pros
  • Great shoes, hopefully the prices don't go up any further!
Cons
  • Young children may find it difficult to put them on by themselves

These shoes are ruining my feet.

After a day of use, my daughter's leg was covered in blood and bruises. A larger shoe size would have been too long for her foot. The belt is in the most free position. Try to contact Keen as they were purchased through Keene. They said they wouldn't refund them based on usage, blaming them for mismatch. I also left a negative review for these shoes on the website and there the dishonest company removed them to give a higher star rating. My recommendation is to buy another brand.

Pros
  • Great versatile boot. Used for hiking, fishing, gardening
Cons
  • Some kids may not like the style or design

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The ankle strap does not stay on. Extreme disappointment.

The ankle strap comes off very easily so the boot doesn't support the ankle. A complete waste of money. Terrible design.

Pros
  • The durable outsole provides reliable traction on any surface while reducing slippage and slippage.
Cons
  • Limited availability in stores, making it difficult to try on before buying

Very comfortable and look good

My 10 year old daughter needed hiking boots for her upcoming trip west. After unsuccessful searches in local stores I had them reviewed by Revain. Her only rule was that the boots were her size and couldn't cost more than $50. She chose this one! I was really surprised that she didn't go for something pink or purple or rainbow. She said she likes these because they look like mine. She tried them on as soon as they arrived. They run a bit big (she needs thick socks for that) but most of the time

Pros
  • Universal
Cons
  • Limited Warranties or Guarantees

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High quality, but very small edition

I had to return it, the shoes were 1.5 sizes smaller than advertised and no larger size was available. However the shoes looked very good, much better quality than the foreign fakes I had to buy for my 5 year old. I would buy them next time if I could get the right size. I wish they were true to size!

Pros
  • My son is happy with the form and function of this mid-range backpacker.
Cons
  • May cause blisters and discomfort on long hikes

I'm a big fan in general due to the larger toe size and width of the shoe. They don't have the wider toe box and shape that was typical of pointed toe shoes. We found these boots too narrow and uncomfortable in the middle of the foot.

Pros
  • Ideal for active children for spring-autumn and winter!
Cons
  • Limited color options

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not durable, punctures after 3.5 months.

The shoes were completely worn out on the sides and full of holes in just 3.5 months. I am extremely disappointed. These shoes usually last for a year.

Pros
  • Offers protection against moisture and rain
Cons
  • Cannot be machine washed, making cleaning difficult

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good walking shoes for a small child

I bought a pair of these (size 11) for my 3 year old last year. They were a size 10 at the time and I was expecting them to be a bit roomier but I have to say they are really difficult to put on due to the elastic laces and high top. A year later, she still needs help getting dressed. So I find it disappointing. The stiff material means you can't feel your toes, so it's generally difficult to tell how they're sitting. They also hold up very well and are really waterproof. So I got this pair for

Pros
  • This is fantastic for little feet who like to hike near the water. Completely dry feet.
Cons
  • May not fit all foot shapes.

The second pair in my review.

Second pair for our VERY active boy. He wears them outdoors, on gravel, and anywhere a little boy can climb. Probably about 6 days a week. The first pair lasted about 14 months.

Pros
  • The shoe has a durable construction for an active two-year-old.
Cons
  • Heavy and bulky for a child

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Durable and ideal for hiking!

We received the same boots in multiple sizes as our daughter continues to grow. We really love this brand and these boots. They are durable and our daughter says they are comfortable. They are true to size (our daughter usually wears a size 12 so we ordered these). I like that there are no laces. Only velcro and cord for tightening/detaching the boot. They were also slightly cheaper at Revain than REI and other stores for the exact same boots.

Pros
  • Breathable Design: Allows air to circulate freely, keeping feet dry and cool on long hikes.
Cons
  • Can be stiff and inflexible, causing discomfort when walking.
