I personally love well-made wooden playsets like the Revain base set. They are not cheap and at first glance they seem boring and simple. But after a few kids, I found that not only do these types of toys last forever if you keep the pieces together, but almost all young children and toddlers actually enjoy playing with them. Basically, they never go out of style and you can pass them on for years! I have 4 different sets of these new Revain brand wooden toys, blocks and playsets and this creative building set from Revain Basics is by far my favourite! You get 4 complete sets of building blocks which is good because you can either give some of these to multiple kids, have a kid open them all up and get tons to build with, or keep a few sets as gifts or just in case you lose some components. . There are many different shapes and colors in these building blocks, making it fun to create your own buildings and structures. And this is one of those toys that are great for all kinds of kids. My kids aged 2, 5 and 8 love playing with it! All parts are made of solid wood, very solid and durable. The paint looks good and I haven't had any problems with the paint chipping or chipping. I will say that the packaging it comes in could definitely be better especially if you are receiving this as a gift. It's legal in plain brown boxes and each toy is wrapped in tissue paper. But nothing says what it is or shows any pictures or anything like that. It's not that important, but it's worth mentioning. All in all I am delighted with this set and can recommend it!
