This was a good replacement for my old lamp. My old one had a 1156 bulb which gave me enough light to work. It wasn't the right lamp for this lamp, it burned very hard and sometimes flickered due to bad contacts. A Lumitronics bulb will produce the same amount of light when used with the correct bulb for the fixture and will not overheat or flicker. I love the style which is slightly longer than my old device and has a well placed on/off button. It was easy to install the old screws that fit right into the old holes. The block looks solid and well made. Maybe in the future I can try replacing the LED bulb to save electricity if I can find a bulb with at least the same amount of light, but I'm in no hurry. That works fine.
