Review on Friday Part Solenoid SBC 4201D Prestolite by Brandon Daughenbaugh
Worked fine when first installed but didn't last very long
I have a JD 310sg excavator with 1400 hours on it so it is still like new and always stored in the garage. The new solenoid worked fine when I installed it, but it only lasted about 22 hours, which is unacceptable, and replacing it is very time consuming. I know it's broken because when it hits an object the contacts close and it starts working until the engine is turned off and restarted. This is a bad unit and should be replaced.
