If you are looking for a waterproof camera, please do your research and understand the risks involved in purchasing this product! This is my second waterproof camera. , and after my first camera broke down while on vacation, I've become very careful with this camera. I recently took this camera on a snowy trip to Switzerland and had no problems with it. I was impressed with the quality of the video, although there was no autofocus and the focus was constantly changing. Came back from vacation and went to the beach with this camera for the second time. more than half a meter under water. Take funny photos. I put the camera back in my bag and took it out an hour later to check my shots. When I turned it on, I noticed a weird electronic "I'm dying" appear on the screen, something like the flickering and blinking of weird electronic lines. So I quickly turned it off and feared the worst. He opened the battery door and looked inside. And yes, there were a few very small drops of water on the battery and SD card, and the lip paper turned purple, indicating water had entered. In fact, after removing the battery and drying the camera for a week or two, I tested the camera to see if it could be revived. No chance! Didn't even turn on. So I decided to go back to a waterproof camera. I did so much research this time around and in terms of waterproof cameras this one should have been the best. I am very annoyed that this camera failed the second shot in the water. I used this camera for the whole 3 months and then said goodbye. For those reading this review and looking for sound advice to make their purchasing decision. Forget the photographic qualities that this camera can surpass in comparison to other waterproof cameras, ie take your time and do not consider all the features and qualities that this camera can surpass in terms of image quality, video quality, etc. e.g. if you have a buy waterproof camera because it is waterproof, make sure you are willing to sacrifice many photographic qualities and find the most durable waterproof camera of them all, not the absolute winner of all camera qualities. This camera can take some good shots out of the water and some good shots in the water, but it's no winner in its durability to hold water. And let's face it, that's what this camera is made for! So I'm a very disappointed customer who had to waste another $250 of hard earned money. I have another Panasonic camera and it takes beautiful pictures, so Panasonic knows how to capture part of a picture well. I just don't think they built this camera to withstand normal everyday use, which is to be expected when filming this camera in the water. The rubber seals on the lock doors are very flimsy, the hinge and sealing mechanism used to keep the doors closed is small and flimsy, and it's that small area that ruins what would otherwise be a good chamber. Be sure to check out the range of waterproof cameras and take a good look at door seals and door locking mechanisms. Can I recommend this product? If you tell yourself that you probably won't use this good buy. Well then. Don't bother buying a waterproof camera, you sacrifice photographic quality to be waterproof. For the same price as a standard camera, you get a camera that produces a much sharper, cleaner, and more colorful image. You need something durable that you can throw in a backpack and the like, and most importantly, use it in the water without fear. Then this review is for you. The camera is solid but not in the water. So be wise and learn TWICE from someone else who was there before you. Panasonic will not honor its warranty if water gets inside. Do I want this review to hurt Panasonic's sales of this camera? Honestly? Yes I hope this helps reduce sales for them. But that's not why I'm writing this. I also like the smartest online shoppers. I use feedback from both regular users and technology reviewers to make device purchasing decisions. So I hope this review will help others to know the main disadvantage of this camera, namely the most important area, its seals and its closing mechanism.
