Review on ๐Ÿน Cage Attachment for Noiseless Runner Exercise Wheels by Robin Smith

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Well it keeps him calm, though.

The rating I have given is based on an issue that is technically outside of Exotic Nutrition's control, but not entirely: my hamster's cage is mostly made up of vertical bars. So, after hardwiring (which will be explained in a moment) the mount itself, the wheel just kept sliding to the bottom of the cage. I actually had to cut out a small piece of cardboard and put it behind the cage and wheel so the lock washer and whatever could fit on top and the cardboard could hold it. For me it's funny. Of course there is a way to make this stuff a little bigger. Universal? Another problem I had was with the actual assembly. The Silent Runner running wheel has a plastic cover on the front with holes big enough for your small pet to crawl through and get in. at the dead center of the wheel, which is completely covered by this plastic casing. My hands were killing me and I have small hands. I was still having issues. The wheel is barely 4 inches deep, but the bolt itself is 2 inches long. Not enough room to work, man. I had to use scissors to hold the bolt and move it there as they were thinner and had more reach and even then I still had problems. All these issues aside, this makes the bike very quiet, which is why it eventually earns the title of "Silent" runner. Because without her, it's more of a "Here, let me bang that stand and stay tuned all night like Yoko Ono's music on one of her bad days" runner. I only wish this very much: 1. The nozzle could somehow be mounted on vertical bars without sliding down. There was a way to remove the plastic finish of the wheel. I couldn't find a way and I think it's a nice design so small animals don't trip and fall off the wheel, but. Hell, think about the convenience of the animal's owner, folks.
