This is TAG 1 so we're going to look at durability. However, I've tried almost every "portable, pocket-sized dual monitor" dongle/dock option on Revain (at the time of this review) and returned. None of them work. At least not for the Intel-based 2020 MacBook Pro. I did NOT want to spend that much money when it seemed like there were good options for only 1/3 the cost. ANYWAY, we come to the review: PROS: Works right out of the box. I have connected 2 brand new LG 4K 60Hz monitors, a very old external USB-A hard drive, an external USB-A webcam and an external Jabra USB-A speaker/microphone for hands-free calls. It took less than 2 minutes to set up (it's just a connection). I connect my external keyboard and mouse to my Mac via Bluetooth so I don't waste ports. The device is SOLID (heavy) and looks well made. It also has its own power plug (I think that can also be counted as a disadvantage). Because it has its own power supply, my MacBook Pro is much slower than other papers I've tested that don't have their own power supply. My MacBook fan ran a bit with the others as it got hot/heated up just as the docks did. So I feel like this device is MUCH less stressful for the MacBook Pro. CONS: It's heavy! And the included power transformer is just as big and heavy too. Now there are many reviews that have already mentioned this, so this came as no surprise. This is NOT something you toss in the side pocket of your computer bag and forget. Now the size is definitely still 'suitable for travel'. As I said, the combination of device and transformer easily outweighs my MacBook Pro. Considering the ONLY downside I can really find is the weight and possibly the need for your own power plug, this is without a doubt the best docking station I can find. Checked. And will absolutely last. Also, I thought about it: I still don't have the opportunity to use two monitors on the road. When I'm in a hotel or meeting room, I connect to an external screen and that's it. So for travel I keep at least one of those little VAVA dongles, each giving me an external HDMI port as well as extra USB A and C ports, an SD card slot, etc. They're cheap and do the trick. Also, I don't need a power plug, so I can use it with a fully mobile MacBook Pro. I used 2 of these units (one on each side of a MacBook Pro) to do what this Ivanky block does. I will now use Ivanky on my home/office desk and VAVA when I travel. I hope this helps those of you who want to make sure you are getting the most out of this device. I will update this review if I encounter any issues. So if you don't see any updates, assume everything is still fine. to restart my macbook and get everything back to normal without having to open the macbook and log in again. That was the problem I had with all other dock options I tested.
