I wish it would work as good as it looks. Does not work as advertised - BUYERS ATTENTION!

If you're buying this device because of its claim to "capture and reduce cigarette and cigar odors," then you better look for an alternative product. We bought this device (and accompanying "smoke filter") for use in the construction follow-up office of one of our employees - he likes to smoke, we tried to get him to quit but it didn't matter. In any case, Rabbit Air was touted as the perfect solution to our problem. We didn't particularly care about the smell of smoke in the room, but we wanted to prevent it from getting into our employees' cabins. After watching a video of this block completely destroying a smoky room (in a good way) we thought we found the perfect solution. We bought the block expecting our office to be ready in a few months but you know how projects are going. Anyway, I digress. A few months later, our office was finally complete and we were ready to put this air-purified office up and running! We installed a sleek and sexy block on the wall next to the employee's office door, inserted a special "smoke filter" and asked our employee to smoke test his new office. He lit a cigarette and Rabbit Air entered almost immediately. The blue 'mood' light turned red indicating that particulate matter was detected and the fans/engine was revving up. We were thrilled and very happy with our purchase so we set off for a while to continue building the rest of the office. Our joy doesn't last long, however, as we soon smell the smell of cigarette smoke permeating the office. our new office. We decided we just misconfigured the device (although it's very basic), so we took it apart and put it back together. This time we decided to leave it on his desk so it would be close to the source of the smoke and the ashtray. We opened all the windows in our office building and waited for the smoke smell to dissipate. We then tried Test #2 and the results were exactly the same - the only difference being that we watched the device inhale 90% of the smoke as it exited our employee's mouth/cigarette, and then 50% of the smoke from the sides. .We thought it was a filter problem so we ordered a variety of different filters to solve the problem - we even had the unit on constant "turbo mode". Unfortunately the problem persisted and after months of testing/waiting for new filters/testing/waiting etc. we finally decided to cut our losses and move to a production solution. The industrial block we bought works 3000 times better despite being 3 times more expensive than Rabbit did his best. Since the Rabbit device was not used, either because it was defective or simply did not work as advertised, we made a return request. Rabbit responded almost immediately with return instructions and a prepaid shipping label. . While we were disappointed with the product, we couldn't have asked for better customer service. But a few days later, after I have already prepared the package for return, I get a call from a blocked/unknown number. I'm not sure who it is, I reply hesitantly, only to be greeted by a Rabbit Air representative who informs me that they have made the decision to no longer accept my return and that they will do so shipping label sent will be cancelled. Talk about bad customer service. your justification? The refund was requested after the "90-day money-back guarantee" so they no longer had to pick up the device. Problem? The department was idle for several months while we waited for our new offices to be completed. So yes, while there was no "90 day" guarantee, the device didn't work for over 60 days before we decided we'd had enough and could move on. Rabbit understood my problem and even went so far. how to tell that others have had similar situations and were willing to work with these people, but (due to the fact that I was well outside the 90 day window) they didn't want to continue working with me and I was just looking forward to it could resort to writing this review and warning others about their deceptive advertising practices. They won't even be willing to offer discounted returns or discount coupons for future filter purchases if I decide to try the unit again. Really very poor customer service on this particular occasion. --- IF YOU BUY THIS TOBACCO SMOKE CONTROL DEVICE YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF AN EXPENSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT --- Learn from my mistakes and use the industrial solution. This block may be elegant and sexy, but to me, this is a $600 energy-wasting brick.
