Revainrating 3 out of 5

Meh, everything is fine. Philips is a good brand, good price.

I need this because most surge protected power taps don't have enough room for 3-5 transformers and I keep having to connect more. (Note to Revain industrial designers: make the warts on the wall smaller, or at the end of a regular string.) The only downside to this is that it's saveable and craftable. If the device flies out of the brown and saves your hardware, it's a dead dog. Not reset. I have a couple of identical 1990's Kensingtons and this has only happened to one of them (living with a crappy electric utility in Connecticut is the worst thing in the US!) but the Kensington will send you a new one! (Well, a few years ago.) The old Kensington still works, but ONLY as a power strip. There is no protection. Which is great for a basement desk for non-electronic things. I also went with this because it's Philips, I have two other old strips from them and they worked well and this is a design that would look great under the living room table. No ugly black overloaded junk, but plain, white, flat.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
