I've been disappointed with other cases that claim to be compatible with the Smart Keyboard. Other lids only have a small opening for the Smart Connector, but the entire edge must be clear. This case is really compatible with Smart Keyboard! I like the black frame around the transparent case. It looks more polished. I have no problem accessing any of the ports, including the headphone jack. I needed a case that would differentiate my iPad from others. I have a couple of friends who have the same iPad Pro settings at the moment. We're all teachers and we use them to digitally block planning and collaboration and all that. The really nice ones I ordered have a "hole" for the smart connector, but it's not compatible with the keyboard. So I ended up buying a sticker to stick directly on my iPad and it's for security. I'm deducting a star because this case reduces the effectiveness of the magnetic closure. The smart keyboard detaches from the edge very easily (to open it the way you're going to use it, not the edge of the smart socket). This doesn't completely reduce the effect of the magnet, but when I tilt it, the smart keyboard opens. The KHOMO iPad Pro 10.5-inch Charcoal Gray Companion Case is the perfect complement to the Apple Smart Keyboard and case. didn't. The smart keyboard stayed flush with the screen and stayed in place with no issues. I think the rim of this case is a bit thicker. The KHOMO case also doesn't scratch (or appear to scratch) as easily as this one. I don't do anything complicated with my iPad. It fits into a padded laptop sleeve as I carry it from place to place. However, I have visible scratches on it. That never happened with homo. I used the HOMO case for about two months; I've been using this for about two weeks. However, KHOMO did not work with my headphone jack. I couldn't get my speakers to play with this case. It has no problem! Until I turn it off to easily distinguish my iPad from other teachers' tablets. I am deducting a star due to scratches and a loose magnet. All in all a good case!
