I've been disappointed with other cases that claim to be compatible with the Smart Keyboard. Other lids only have a small opening for the Smart Connector, but the entire edge must be clear. I have this paired with Apple Smart Cover on the iPad Pro 10.5 and it looks great and works well. Coming from the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, which had a very nice Samsung flip case.
