We have many Ditty Birds books. They're great for babies learning how to press buttons as well as toddlers who love memorizing songs. My 10 month old and 3 year old love these books. This book has particularly good long songs (some other books had very short sound clips). The songs in this book are sung in an adult voice (some Ditty Bird books are written with children's voices, but not in this one). It's also great that you want your child to learn some traditional American songs related to American history. A great 4th of July book or birthday gift for July birthdays. Another great feature of these books is that you can press the button once to start the song and again to stop the song or press the button on another side to switch songs. You don't have to listen to everything. Cons: No on/off switch on the back. The screw on the back for the batteries can also be easily removed if you are not careful.
