It's basically an Otter Box. There is a hard plastic piece with a screen protector that snaps onto another hard plastic piece on the back for the first layer. Then a flexible element is laid on top. I had an Otter Box on my last phone (about 2 years old). I've had this case for about 6 months now and I like it better than the Otter Box. I've dropped my phone many times from about 5 feet and it just bounces. The screen protector is great (as is the Otter Box). Blue and purple colors are very beautiful. I don't use the clip but it's also great quality and the clip portion rotates for horizontal or vertical use. PPE: This is NOT a waterproof case, so do not throw your phone in the pool when you receive this case. The description and pictures should make it very clear, but some nerds will be sad if it's not waterproof.
