I used this as a clock radio having used a previous model in a hotel and was impressed with how easy it was to set the alarm. This model is too remote dependent in my opinion - the only thing you can do without a remote is turn the radio on or off or 'snooze' the alarm clock. (It took me quite a while to figure out that I could turn off the alarm by tapping the top a second time after it "snoozed".) The good news is that the alarm is easy to set with the remote . The alarm stays set for the next day until you intentionally turn it off, which was important to me. Other nice features include digital tuning, easy-to-use preset buttons (on the remote), and additional station display information. It annoyed me at first that the default alarm was set to the buzzer and not the radio, but turns out it stays changed once you switch to the radio. So in general I like the radio very much, even if it is not optimal as a radio alarm clock. I ended up buying a plastic sticker to attach the remote control to the radio.
