I used this as a clock radio having used a previous model in a hotel and was impressed with how easy it was to set the alarm. This model is too remote dependent in my opinion - the only thing you can do without a remote is turn the radio on or off or 'snooze' the alarm clock. I would normally give this radio 4 stars for sound, reliability and reception, no better or worse than 15 year old models. However, I'm taking it back to -2 stars because of two "features" that bother me after 6 months of use: 1) The only operation that can be performed on the radio itself is power off/on.
