We bought this for a 1-2 year old who loved drawing on the mat with the different pens and using the stamps and roller. I liked that this version came with many different tools, some of the other brands didn't come with the roller, stamps, and storage bag. Downside was you could see the bands of colors behind the white drawing surface so you can see what color your drawing will turn to - I would have preferred the whole thing to just be white so you couldn't see through it. That made it seem a little bit cheaper quality, but kids didn't really care about that and it was all the same to them. The size was good - not too big and could find a surface to fit it onto, and not too small. The stamp pad was a bit flimsy and has already ripped, it is not glued down to the plastic tray. Also after drawing there are some water stains left behind but that can probably be washed away by some more water. Overall - despite the little flaws, the kids love playing with it and didn't seem to mind those things. There's absolutely no mess since it's just water which is the main plus.
