I needed a cheap monitor replacement for my old 27" Viewsonic monitor as I really didn't want to invest any more money in my old Windows 7 Pro machine. But since new PCs with Windows 11 pre-installed are still not available, I had to take the sour apple bite and buy this monitor to survive. Out of the box I had to fiddle with a LOT of hardware settings to make it fit my old monitor. You have to go into the hardware menu and scroll through it, and the location of the adjustment buttons on the back of the monitor doesn't make it easy. With all the fuss and excitement, however, it only took me about 10 minutes to figure out and set up the monitor the way I wanted.Cons: The computer stand could have been stronger and more rigid, but for my use it is no show limiter There are no built in USB ports but I knew that beforehand so again this wasn't a show stop he. Pros: price, reduced power consumption (compared to older 120V monitors). , and weight. At my age weight is an issue as you need to move desktop computing equipment to free up your workspace and this monitor is significantly lighter than my old 27" Viewsonic monitor and uses much less power. Mom really likes this new monitor so I think that's really important!
