There are times when "black" silicone glue or sealant is good to have. There aren't many brands of black silicone in tubes, and Permatex is probably the best. In terms of adhesion and "texture" of the product once cured, I can only compare it to GE silicone that works so well. I think GE Silicone II is top-notch: Once dry, it stays firm but flexible and has excellent adhesion. This product is Permatex, not much. I've found that while it's a good sealant where black silicone is needed, it's not a "great" sealer as it can be a little thin, has a lower viscosity than GE's clear silicone, and appears to be time consuming to dry . I also had a project "ripped down" with Permatex only to be remade with GE Silicone II for satisfactory results. The "rare" black color deserves praise. But dry time, inconsistent tuning and lack of final flex knock it off its feet. Overall 4 stars, but would have liked 5 stars.
