Wow, what a beautiful scratching post. When it arrived in a big box and I opened it and saw all the pieces I got a little scared but I took a deep breath, prayed and followed him. I have to say that it is quite easy to assemble and I did everything myself. It took me 30 to 35 minutes to screw everything on. Don't be intimidated, it's easy to assemble, just look at the instructions, separate the parts and screws and everything will be very easy. It's not too big and certainly not small. It's very durable on carpet, but I used a security screw to press it into the wall just for extra security. I don't even think a big cat could knock it over, it's so stable. I bought it for my little kitty and over time she will grow into it. I wouldn't recommend this for huge cats or very big cats because it just doesn't have enough room on the edge and a really big cat won't fit in a box that is a bed so I'd say this is for kittens, small to medium cat size. If you have a big cat, I don't think this will work. It's really pretty and the kitten seems to like it, she needs to get used to it. The little hammock is so cute. I put the cat bed on the bottom bunk. He is covered with fur, very soft. I am very happy with my purchase and it gives 5 stars for me. Her name is Kid I and she is lying at the foot of her bed, not sure if you can see her, she is gray and blending in lol. Your cat will love this tree house.
