I'm 5'6" male, weigh 140 lbs and have a small build (okay, I can hear you, stop laughing). As I have a small frame and am 5ft 5in I decided to try the X-LRG size for this item. ALMOST everything fits except"torso". It's not the product's fault as it was my choice. No return required as I still really like this "union suit". After washing I just pick at the stain and it works. One day I lie down in a warm bed with my wife and our two dogs and our 3 out of 5 cats. I turn on my night radio and make myself comfortable for the night. I ordered the same item in the small adult size, it fits better, there is room to grow in length. So my review of this product is positive. YOUTH should work for everyone, male or female. 130 pounds or less, petite build and no taller than 5ft 3in otherwise upper body can be an issue but just stretch the "suit" and it will work. but depends on whether you wear underwear underneath. This is a Union Suit, after all, not pajamas. The material is soft and warm and stretches. All cuffs hold well on wrists and ankles. Washed at least 4 times, no buttoning or fraying issues. , torn or burst seams. The suit is quite warm when lounging in temperatures below 60. The vertical valve on ONE BUTTON works under the condition that human anatomy is taken into account when using it. For us men the use of front buttons is obvious. .Great union suit for the price, mine is semi tight. If someone wants a roomy fit, . take the next size up. This is a great light to medium weight Allied suit.
