The installation is terrible. I really want to keep it as I love the design as it is for my home gym with only 8 foot ceilings and equipment. But the mounting bracket does not fit the standard ceiling box. It only comes with plastic dowels and the instructions say to use them! You can't hang ANYTHING from the ceiling above people's heads with cheap dowels! It's terrible. Please never use the plastic wall anchor for anything in the ceiling. You need at least one toggle switch, but even then not for a fan. Drill a hole in the bracket to install it properly, but then face the problem that there is no way to hang it up while wiring it, so it takes 2 people for a minute. The louvers on the grille are angled to keep the wind in one direction and close the swing to only about 120 degrees. The grille rotates, which is pretty cool, but when the light is on it creates an obnoxious light show in the room. This can be a great feature if it's over a 2 person bed and you only need air from one side or want the breeze to be one way. This helps with circulation but works more like an oscillating floor fan but with a lot less breeze that you actually feel. Very quiet but the breeze at altitude is more in line with the average of a floor fan of the same size. The lighting is just terrible. I love the modern design, but it only has 3 presets that don't make sense: warm outer ring with cold inner, cold inner with warm outer, and both are neutral. You can't even compare them to warm. and if so, it is not a comfortable heat with temperatures of 2000,000 or less. The neutral white color is comfortable and accurate. There is a light button on the remote control and you have to switch between them as the last setting is not saved. And there's a loud, annoying beep when you're changing trains. So if you want a neutral white color, you have to press the button 5 times and hear 5 loud beeps each time you turn it on. Build quality is generally decent, except there's no collar to hide the screws and there are vents on the part. near the ceiling. It can be seen from certain angles. The diffusion material on the rings is terrible. It is a thin plastic that is deformed and too small. So it doesn't even sit flat, curling up a bit on each side and barely reaching the edge of the frame, which helps it stay in place. I really wanted to like it as I like the unique design but I can't. It was a good attempt at form, but not function. The attention to detail in installation and manufacture is below par. I have purchased, installed and lived with many ceiling fans over the years. That's not even close to $209. I love the design so much I would consider keeping it at my gym if it cost $79 max. But he could never enter the room I use all the time. Strange lighting and air management defeat its purpose, and loud beeps remind me how disappointed I am every time.
