Review on 🐶 Purina Pro Plan Adult 7+ High Protein Senior Dry and Wet Dog Food (Packaging May Differ) by Shantel Griffin

I worked as a veterinarian before becoming a wildlife biologist so I learned a lot about ingredients for good canine health. I fed blue buffalo for a while before I was taught proper dog nutritional needs and while older people need more protein, blue buffalo gave my dogs HORRIBLE indigestion and massive farts! (Could not breathe like farting for 10 minutes for example, this is NOT normal and a clear sign something is wrong). I have switched to IAM kibble which is by far the best kibble for the price (there are other more expensive dog foods that may be better but IAM is by far the best value for money no matter what the ads say tries you). I then researched several different wet foods and this is by far the best for dogs 7+. My old beagle is a big 90 lb boy and 14 years old which is a crazy age for a big dog. After he started taking thyroid pills, he required supplemental wet food and therefore required more moisture in his diet. He was eating Natures Choice brands quite normally, but they weren't as good as the professional plan. This line has much better reviews from vets and especially medical professionals, not ordinary people who don't really know what they're talking about in terms of dietary requirements and think fiber is the enemy! This is why older dogs find it particularly difficult for me to buy food, there are so many rubbish reviews from people who don't know what they are talking about and only buy things that sell for millions of dollars as excellent. and "natural" when in reality they are equal, if not inferior, to other products. Purina gets a bad rap for some of the other lines, but ProPlan Focus for Seniors is the way to go and my dog LOVES it! While not a big deal, it slips out of the jar easily so it actually gets all the food without me having to constantly dig into the jar with a spoon. It seems like a pretty good deal (at least the price I paid for it now, Amazon sometimes changes their prices) for so many cans, so I'll keep buying it here.
