It was a subtle blue gray colour. My daughter used it while on vacation in a known pickpocket area. He kept their Nikons in a small case with smaller lens attachments in addition to the usual handbag items. I had the same in a different color. The two compartments had a zipper which could be operated in a reasonable amount of time to pull out a purse etc but served as a solid target to deter pickpockets. I found it a little big but for a vacation I needed it. Serviceable, durable, organized but not the kind of bag I would take with me except on vacation; not exactly a fan of canvas-like fabrics. This bag did what it was supposed to do and I would buy it again as a reliable vacation bag.
