Of the competitors, I would look at active speakers or other placement options. The same LS50 Meta with subs. Or finally - floor standing (trephoposnye), if there is a place. Revel, for example. But it's more expensive. Cheaper - Polk R600, but I have not heard it. Also Legends. Kef R3 were chosen by me because I had the opportunity to hear them. Alas, it is impossible to listen to everything. Although what is definitely better, is definitely more expensive. Genelec 8351 for example. To summarize: a car for fun, but they require a good path and trite placement. Bliss.
- PRECISION, VOLUME, DETAILS. Three bands (albeit coaxial) with a flat frequency response. There is no such thing that the lower part of the middle plays, and the upper does not play, or vice versa. Very detailed. For example, if some kind of guitar passage, solo, is heard in some speakers, even headphones, then here it can be heard from several levels. A lot of music is just nice to listen to and you don't want to turn it off at all. Bass - as in the description of the frequency response in the specification. After 58Hz, the decline is 6Hz. It sounds louder in the room, but that's okay. No more, no less. Also, if you listen to other columns A before that, where there is a good feature, and columns B, where there is another feature, then probably KEF will combine them. Although not everywhere. Also, these speakers can play quietly! I listen with Purifi EigenTakt (after this amp appeared volume) I listen to a lot of music that I have not listened to before or listened to, but rarely. Yes, yes, very accurate midbass, where they work and the holography of this bass. And the middle, straight detailed, not painstaking to torment. Namely, lively, detailed, voluminous. To summarize: a car for fun, but they require a good path and trite placement. Bliss.
