The product's ribbon cables were cheap crap and the unit was old and dirty inside. The supplied ribbon cable was installed but not tested, as was the unit. There was flux on the end of the ribbon cable and I had to use an old cable, voiding my warranty. After installing the device, it did not work due to a mechanical problem inside, which made it possible to only partially insert the CD.
