They absorb water very well.
To be honest I find buying just two small kitchen towels at $13.99 (the value of this review) quite expensive. They are not very big, but absorb a lot of water. I really like them but if I had bought them I probably wouldn't come back for a new purchase. They are quite durable and I've been using them for over a week now. It is very similar to the material that stays cool when wet. Yesterday I used a cooling towel while playing tennis. It is very stiff when dry, but very stretchy when wet. These kitchen towels are very similar but maybe a little thicker.
