Review on Eyoyo Monitor 1024X768 Resolution Portable by Greg Quinit

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Supports HDMI, RCA, VGA. Bonus USB turned off and normal sound. Perfect for Pi-like applications

In the world of sheet-sized monitors, it's easy to overlook that small tasks sometimes require small monitors. It's not the primary monitor for a thousand-column spreadsheet or CAD modeling tool. It is ideal for passive surveillance, e.g. B. Status indicators for builds or porting to setup servers that spend most of their lives without a monitor. My favorite feature of the Eyoyo is that it has all the important video inputs. HDMI goes without saying. but it also decodes legacy analog inputs from RCA connectors or DB-15 VGA connectors. Whether you're connecting a "classic" game console or a tiny computer (original Pi, CHIP, or even an iPod video (cable not included)), this RCA composite video input comes in handy. It also supports HDMI, which delivers audio and video through a modern jack. You can leave all video connections plugged in and switch between them using the on-screen display. For example the BIOS to update a server or restore a backup for a normally headless system. Text was clear and bright. As a bonus, there's a 5V/1A USB output. This is useful for things like an LED light ring (not for the camera itself), powering single-board computers, or powering network devices is USB ONLY -AI powered will never get the right aspect ratio when tested on my iMac. I think that macOS just shouldn't have supported 4:3 for so long it just doesn't work. It's a bit silly combination to be honest and I haven't researched that much. This monitor simply worked in high resolution on all tiny computers (CHIP, Pi, Pi Zero, old Linux desktops, UNIX systems, game consoles, etc.). mounts best on the wall The cables on the bottom edge can get a little crowded when the cables need to come out and they twist to the right so they don't hit the table, it's between multiple systems that normally plug into the mains are connected. The picture quality was good and the variety of hardware connections is handy for the gadgeteer.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
