I used to use one of the car phone mounts that uses a sticky, "washable" suction cup to stick to the car's dashboard. I really liked the magnet idea just so the phone can be placed on the mount without grips or anything. I've been using this holder for two years! I really wish I hadn't. When my car was in the sun the mount just fell off and I put it on the dashboard and it fell off again while driving and then my phone got lost under my seat. I bought it on a whim, thinking it wouldn't solve my problems. But it's PERFECT. No annoying suction cups or magnets to fiddle with. It just does what it's supposed to do - attaches to the vent and holds my phone. I couldn't ask for a better car mount. I can't believe how easy it is! If I could change something, I would change the depth of it. The iPhone 7 is pretty thin so it doesn't need to be that deep, but it's a solution for phones of different sizes, so it makes sense. Buy it and you won't regret it!
