I'm 5ft 10in / 185lbs tall. I have found that I sleep best on a good quality 4 inch memory foam mattress. I've been using the 4 inch futon for about a year and decided to find something new. I wanted something similar that was soft and comfortable, but without major compromises. If I sink too deep into the mattress, my lower back starts to hurt. The possibilities are endless and I was very confused about the thickness I needed. I decided to try and climb from there. I opened the packaging and let the mattress expand for 24 hours. The first thing I noticed was that the middle pillow felt less firm than the other two. What bothered me was that it was the hip area and I just replaced it with an underpad. It works great there and doesn't feel any different when lying down. The pillows were closer to 3 inches than 4 as advertised. I've been sleeping on the mattress for two months now. All in all it's not bad. It's quite long but very narrow. I sleep on my side and don't move much at night, so this works, but for an adult who sleeps on his back or tosses and turns, this might not be for you. It is ideal for children of all ages. It hasn't developed any sags and seems to be holding up well.
