I had an old desk that was scratched and covered in nail polish. It was very ugly. I sanded the top with sandpaper to help the paper hold better and cleaned it with a towel. Once dry I laid the paper down slowly starting on one side and using a piece of squeegee on the paper pulled it out to learn how to apply. I used a precision knife and cut through the bottom after applying. The tricky part was the corners, which I had to carefully trim off with a knife, and I actually superglued them to keep them from peeling off. I've had people and they were all amazed at how it looked like real marble. The design is not pixelated at all. Excellent purchase!
